Westfield Girls' cross country wrapped up the 2025 season on Saturday, competing in the IHSAA State Finals at the famed LaVern Gibson cross country course in Terre Haute, Indiana. The Rocks placed 9th as a team on the day, including another individual All-State finish to add to the record books. The Shamrocks ninth-place finish in the team standings is the 14th time that Westfield has finished top 10 at the State finals, which is tied for the 8th most top 10 finishes in state history. Alivia Lozier continued building her resume with another top 25 finish at state to earn All-State honors by placing 19th in a time of 18:02. Lozier's time also beats her previous state meet best as the fastest 5k time ever run by a Westfield girl at the cross country state meet. Liv also becomes just the 6th girl in school history to earn multiple all-state honors in cross country, adding to her 16th-place finish a year ago. Freshman Jenna Burns was the Rocks' 2nd finisher, placing 59th overall in her first state meet in a time of 18:57 to just get under the 19-minute barrier. Mackenna Condon placed 75th overall in a time of 19:12, earning a new course best time at LaVern Gibson to place in the top 75. Seniors Jordyn Landrum and Gianna Ferreri rounded out the scoring for the Rocks, finishing in 127th and 142nd place, respectively. Remaining Shamrocks that competed at State were Ella Bozarth and Emma Pitney, each racing in their first career state finals. A fun season has come to an end for Westfield, which included a conference, sectional, and regional championship. Thank you to everyone who followed along this season, and we are already looking forward to 2026 as we bring back many athletes from this year's squad to write another chapter of Westfield Girls Cross Country. Go Rocks!
