The runners who did not attend the Eagle Classic competed at the Ben Davis Invitational on Saturday, September 13. The varsity squad - which featured many runners with limited varsity experience - finished in 3rd place overall. The boys were led by Luke Stevens, who continued his strong sophomore campaign with a 15th-place finish. Owen Dilley was just behind him, finishing 19th and running a season-best time in the process. The scorers were rounded out by Max Lynaugh, Jace Lee, and Corbin Hasler, who ran yet another PR. Brayden Cring also had a very strong race, running another PR in a season full of them for him. The Shamrocks are back in action on Saturday, September 20th, at the Athletic Annex FlashRock Invitational. This is hosted by Westfield and will take place at Northview Christian Church in Carmel, with the boys' varsity racing at 9:00 am. The JV team at the Ben Davis Invitational came away with a dominant victory, finishing nearly 40 points ahead of second place. The team champions were led by five top 10 performances: Elan Zamora was 3rd, Brandon Encinia was 5th, Conner Phillips was 7th, Evan Hocker was 8th, and Dom Newell was 9th. The boys took 11 of the top 20 places en route to the huge win in the hot weather. PRs were run by Zaden Glass, Jackson Rivard, Eli Hayes, Willie Lye, Maddux Kettlebar, and Evan Sawa. Congratulations to the boys on a big win!
