Westfield Girls' Soccer took the field again Thursday night for this week's second consecutive game of the week. This time, in front of the home crowd and in the excitement of Teacher Appreciation Night. In the first half, the Rocks couldn't quite find their opportunities and went into the half tied, 0-0. With the second half underway, Westfield came out ready to go, scoring two goals in the first 8 minutes. The first goal came from Coltie Carson, who placed one far post off a pass from Avery Van Den Berg. The second goal, coming minutes later, started with a nice drive from Arri Cooke-Dennis, who found an open Elle Fischer, who then rocketed the ball into the back of the net, putting the Rocks up 2-0. The final goal of the game came as Tatum Hauser drove up the sideline, beating a few defenders to get a cross into the box in which Talia Edwards was on the end of, scoring another goal for the Rocks. Shut out credit to our goalkeepers, Emma Deitsch and Leah Hunsucker. Westfield Girls' Soccer is back in action next week as they travel to Zionsville for another conference match-up.
