JV Green Defeats Noblesville

The Westfield JV Green Shamrocks rallied to beat Noblesville 13-9 on Tuesday. The Shamrocks collected 12 hits in the high-scoring game. The Shamrocks got on the board in the first inning after Olivia Sampia singled, scoring one run. The Shamrocks added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning when Alyvia Browne doubled, scoring one run, and Ali Kainrath singled, scoring two runs. The Shamrocks flipped the game in the bottom of the fourth, scoring nine runs on six hits to take back the lead, 13-8. The biggest hit of the inning was a sacrifice fly by Hayden Rice that drove in two. Adelyn Kurth earned the win in the circle for the Shamrocks. Kurth surrendered three hits and four runs (three earned) over three and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking one. Sampia started in the circle for the Shamrocks. The starting pitcher gave up four hits and five runs over three and one-third innings, striking out four and walking five. The Shamrocks piled up 12 hits in the game. Browne went 3-for-4 at the plate and lead the team with three runs batted in. Sampia and Kurth each collected multiple hits. Kaylee Graff led the team in walks with three. The team amassed nine walks in the game showing patience at the plate.
