The Rocks Softball Team Earn Walk-Off Win Over Noblesville The Rocks took Tuesday's game in dramatic fashion, with a 7-6 walk-off victory over Noblesville. The game was tied at six in the bottom of the seventh when Chloe Tanner singled, scoring one run. Ava Kainrath collected four hits in four at bats in the win. Kainrath doubled in the fifth inning, singled in the seventh inning, singled in the first inning, and singled in the third inning. The Rocks tied the game in the bottom of the first thanks to a single by Tanner, and a sacrifice fly by Cam Pulice. The Rocks jumped into the lead in the bottom of the third when Tanner grounded out, scoring one run, and Reese Mahannah tripled, scoring two runs. The Rocks jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the seventh inning after Kainrath singled to center field, and Tanner singled to center field, each scoring one run. Mackenzie Delph earned the win for the Rocks. The hurler allowed two hits and zero runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking none. Addison Retzinger took the loss for Noblesville. The starting pitcher went six innings, giving up seven runs on 11 hits, striking out 12 and walking one. Tanner opened the game for Westfield Varsity Shamrocks. The pitcher gave up seven hits and six runs (two earned) over four and one-third innings, striking out three and walking three. The Rocks amassed 11 hits in the game. Tanner drove the middle of the lineup, leading Westfield Varsity Shamrocks with three runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 2-for-3 on the day. Sofia Easterhaus collected three hits for Westfield Varsity Shamrocks in four at bats. The Rocks will travel to Yorktown for their next game on Thursday.
