The Rocks traveled to Fishers to close out the HCC series with the Tigers on Saturday. Westfield jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the first only to have the Tigers tie the game back up in the bottom of the first. In the second inning, the Rocks exploded for 5 runs. In the 3rd, Fishers scored 4 runs to pull within a run and the Rocks responded with 2 runs to take an 8-5 lead in the 4th inning. The score remained 8-5 until the 6th inning, when the Tigers scored two runs to pull within a run. Then, in the bottom of the 7th, with two outs and two strikes, Fishers tied the game up with a single and then won it in the next at bat 9-8. The loss was a tough one for the Rocks and puts them at 10-3 (4-2 in HCC). Ian Wilson and Lincoln Hoffman were 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI each on the day. Beck Jordan was 2 for 4 with an RBI as well. The Rocks will look to get back in the win column on Monday when they host the 3rd ranked Center Grove Trojans. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30p.
