The JV Shamrocks gutted out a 18-15 win over the Zionsville Eagles on Saturday to improve to 3-0 on the year and start conference play with a win. It was a slow start for the Shamrock offense in the first half but they turned it on in the 2nd half to score all of their 18 points. The player of the game on offense for the Rocks was Ben Vollmer with multiple great plays from his WR position. Mr. Consistency was earned by Nick McKeown for solid blocking from his right tackle position on the OL. The big play came when the Rocks converted a 4th and 9 for a TD on a pass from Greyson Hampton to Will Roh. Defensively, the Rock D was solid all game long. The player of the game for the defense was Cord Kremer from his safety position. Mr. consistency was given to Shamar Jackson for his play along the defensive line. The Big play came when Cord Kremer picked off the Zionsville QB to seal the win. On special teams the player of the game was given to Brady Heflin who kicked multiple touchbacks on the day. Mr. Consistency was given to Micahel Sotolongo. The big play came on an Anderson Corya field goal to get the Rocks on the board in the 3rd quarter. The JV Shamrocks return to action on Saturday, September 12th when they host the Noblesville Millers for a 9 AM kickoff.
