The varsity boys cross country team had one of the best meets in team history at the Hamilton County Championships, finishing runner-up and matching the highest finish in over a decade. The boys were led by Bryce Pittman (5th place finish), Luke Moulder (6th), and Nathan McKeever (8th), all of whom ran under 16:00 and set new PRs. Pittman is now the 5th fastest runner in team history, while Moulder is tied for 7th and McKeever is 16th all time. They were joined in scoring by JP Mikels's all-county performance (18th), and Deagan Imel (27th), both of whom also earned new PRs. Other standouts included Dexter Hoffman, Corbin Hasler, Max Lynaugh, and Brecken Snyder. The boys ran the third fastest average time in team history en route to defeating the 4th, 9th, and 15th ranked teams in the entire state. The Shamrocks are back in action at the Rick Weinheimer Cross Country Classic at Ceraland Park in Columbus, IN on Saturday, September 5th. The boys varsity race kicks off at 9:30 am.
