The Freshman Rocks got the job done on the road Wednesday night at Lawrence Central 37-30. Off to another slow start, the Rocks had to battle back in the second quarter. Lincoln Whitaker hit a big 3 assisted by Kaleb Cole to even up the game at 15 all going into the half. The Rocks won this game in the third quarter when they came out with a different fire and focus. Huge three pointers by Aiden Hairston, Lincoln Whitaker, and Dante Jones, and some timely offensive rebounds by Adrean Scott had the Rocks leading by 7 after the third. Some spotty free-throw shooting in the fourth quarter allowed the Bears to stay in contention, but a clutch layup by Braelyn Rush and two Greyson Hampton assists to Owen Fletcher shut the door on Lawrence Central. The Rocks are back in action Monday night against Lebanon at home. It's a great day to be a Shamrock!
