The Westfield Girls Track and Field team competed in the Hoosier Crossroads Conference Championships Tuesday evening. Their 6th place finish belies a great performance by the team. Among the great performances by the Shamrocks were two-event champion Lucy Hauser (100H--ranked 8th in the state, 300H--ranked 2nd in the state), and Maggie Naas, who ran a personal best in the 800 that was good enough to put her at #6 on the WHS all-time list. There were also outstanding performances by the 4x800 of Naas, Liz Smith, Emily Loiselle, and Jordyn Landrum (3rd place and currently 6th in the state), and the 4x400 of Naas, LeBraya Warren, Landrum and Hauser (2nd and currently 3rd in the state). Additionally, Alivia Lozier got incredibly close to a huge milestone, running 11:00.3 in the 3200. That run puts Alivia 3rd on WHS all-time list, pulling ahead of some very illustrious runners. And, Gracie Czubik bested her all-time mark in the high jump twice, going 5'2" and putting herself at #5 on the WHS all-time list. Other great performances were turned in by Lauren Linville, who scored in both hurdle races, Emily Loiselle in the 1600, Katelyn Eblen and Emmie Barker in the 400, and Liz Smith in the 3200. The girls are back in action next Tuesday, May 8 at the Hamilton County meet at Noblesville HS.
